when the death of Princess Diana shook the nation. He was able to
guide his people through that crisis and many others including the 9/11
attacks, the war in Kosovo, and the 2005 attacks on London
itself. Blair became a favorite of Americans when he
staunchly supported the U. S. efforts in Iraq in spite of stong
opposition in Britain
